Johnson Obilikwu coordinates internal audit and compliance activities in the Institute. He supervises adherence to policies taking into cognizance local legislations and donor requirements. Mr. Obilikwu manages grant business ensuring that financial risks are reduced and control systems safeguards the organization’s operations and assets. He also works closely with financial consultants engaged to enhance sites accountants’ capacity in rendering acceptable and error free financial returns to the Institute.
Mr. Obilikwu studied Accounting at the Benue State Polytechnic, Ugbokolo, Nigeria, where he earned a Higher National Diploma graduating as the best accounting student. Johnson is also a member of two professional bodies – the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Nigeria Institute of Taxation. He got his Master in Business Administration (MBA) at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
Before joining Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria, he worked with Setraco Engineering and Construction Company Limited for six years, as an Accountant. He was responsible for maintaining financial records of the Company including preparation of bank reconciliation, the administration of wages and salaries and financial reporting.
Johnson loves football and he also loves listening to Christian music.
