Dr. Daniel Olugbenga Kayode coordinates the Institute’s efforts in providing comprehensive treatment and care for tuberculosis/drug-resistant tuberculosis for the USAID TB LON 3 Project.
He ensures a good relationship with the management and staff of health facilities, state government officials, partners and stakeholders to ensure quality care for patients. Developing work plans, supervising its implementation and reviewing program achievements also falls under his purview as the Ag. Regional Manager. Dr. Kayode facilitates collaboration and teamwork among regional staff and implementing facility staff to achieve set targets.
Dr. Kayode is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, where he obtained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree. He has a Master’s in Public Health from Texila American University and is currently studying for another postgraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
He has 15 years working experience in community medicine and public health. Before assuming the responsibilities of Project Director, USAID TB LON 3 Project. Dr. Kayode was the Director Technical Program USAID TB LON3 Project, Ag. Regional Manager, South-West Region, Regional Medical Officer in the Institute. He has also worked at University College Hospital Ibadan and Hospital Management Board, Kano. He has attended several trainings, is interested in HIV and hepatitis research and enjoys reading, listening to music & watching movies.
