As Manager and Unit Head of the Internal Audit/System Strengthening Unit under the Internal Audit and Compliance Department, Mrs. Oluwayemisi Asiozi works with central, regional, and state offices of the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) to review their operations and ensure compliance with organizational and donor policies.
She supervises the Institute’s sub-recipients and sub-partners routine audits. She oversees the internal audit team to ensure appropriate training and mentoring on audit and compliance systems.
Mrs. Asiozi also participates in compiling annual and quarterly work plans and institutional quarterly reports for management’s review. Her duties include carrying out departmental reviews of Head Office departmental operations to ensure adherence to standards/policies guiding their operations and coordinating regular reviews of the departmental Standard Operating Procedures to guide their operations. Her team also reviews payroll and its related matters.
Her experience spans 20 years in the private sector and non-governmental organizations. Within IHVN, she has served in capacities such as Regional Finance Assistant, Site Operations Compliance Team Lead, System Strengthening Team Lead, and Head Office Operations Compliance Lead amongst others.
She has a Master’s in Business Administration from Roehampton University, London, United Kingdom, and is an Associate Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She also has certificates in, Project management in Health from the University of Washington, USA.
She is a Member of the Institute of Certified Compliance Professionals, a Fellow of the Global Academy of Finance and Management, and a Certified Forensic Investigation Professional.
Her hobbies are cooking and music, and she is married with children.
