Former Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Ms. Josephine Tapgun is a Member in the Institute of Human Virology Nigeria’s Board. She is an expert psychologist with extensive experience in the Federal Civil Service where she has worked in varying positions for over 20 years.
She provided oversight for the Nigerian Bank of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria and other organizations and liaised with International Organizations in implementing policies of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as Minister. Ms. Josephine was also Assistant Director in both Ministries of the then Power and Steel and that of the Youth Development.
Her career stint with the government, also includes, Assistant Chief Consulting Officer for the National Council on Inter-governmental Relations (NCIR) where she was responsible for monitoring activities and areas of conflicts between tiers of government, and Administrative Officer at the National Planning Commission.
Ms. Josephine is an alumnus of the University of Jos where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Psychology in 1989 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Psychology.
